Stragier’s Milano knitted fabric is a surprisingly versatile knit!
Knitted on the principle of an interlock but with a special stitch typical of the Milan region, it has excellent consistency, hold, opacity and weight.
Bi-stretchable, it will follow your movements while returning to its original shape. In other words, it won’t ‘poach’ over the course of the day or become deformed. Stragier Milano knit recovers its shape better than normal Milano knit.
This stability and its density give it a great deal of elegance as well as being very comfortable.
Versatile, it is suitable for all wardrobe items: tops, dresses, skirts, trousers, jackets, bodysuits, wide belts, tops, etc.
Made mainly from cellulose fibres, it is breathable and comfortable to wear.

Thanks to its qualities, it can also be used for other more specific purposes, such as maternity trouser tops, or wide belts that can be transformed into tops or mini-skirts.

Practical tips for sewing Milano knitted fabric

Milano knitted fabric is easy to sew with a stretch stitch.
Wash the fabric before cutting: it may shrink on the first wash.
Use a stretch or jersey needle to sew it. Don’t pull on it while you’re stitching. And enjoy your garment for a long time!
